- A comparator LM311 or LM393 to avoid progressive ON/OFF of the brushless fan. To be inserted between U1A/1 and Q1/2.
- Replace Q1 with a darlington ? (TIP120) as suggested by René Lefebvre and Didier Badez
- insert a Zener before or after R3 as suggested by Aurélien Léconte. Probably a little bit over Q1 Vbe threshold
